Thriver Man Does Direct Response Marketing

June 19th, 2009

Have you integrated any direct response marketing into your campaigns yet? Well if you’re at all like me chances are pretty good that you haven’t… at least for a while. This is something that I’ve thought about from time to time though. For me it’s been just finding the time to put something together and implement. That’s why I’ve kind of back shelved the notion. Branding myself is definitely on my horizon and soon. Then I’m going to try doing this… find a JV (joint venture) partner with a list and get a post card created and sent to their list for 50% of the action. To learn more about this, check out this informative yet very funny video. (You don’t need to subscribe to a list to see this)

Increase Productivity – Download RoboForm FREE

June 11th, 2009

When it comes to trying to make money online, improving your overall productivity ought to be a high priority. We’re always crunched for time so if there is anything that can help speed up the more mundane tasks like logging in to your favorite secure websites quicker and easier, then I say horray for something new as long as it’s simple, effortlessly easy to use and setup!

One tool that I’ve come accross that helps me save a TON of time is RoboForm. It’s easy to use, yet extremely powerful, and saves me time. That is one commodity that we all have a limited amount of. TIME!

I’ve got so many passwords and usernames it makes my head spin just thinking about it to write this post! In the past I’d have all this in an obscure folder in my computer with each user name and password in it’s own file. Heaven forbid anyone stealing my computer and breaking into my convoluted file system I’ve rigged up for this task.

Now I just select where I want to go and from a dropdown menu RoboForm takes me to my destination and logs me in too… all with one click! Now THAT’S a time saver!

The download was quick and simple and the whole thing was set up in a few minutes. If you want to save oodles of time, then I highly recommend this for anybody.

And the best news of all is it’s completely FREE.

Why I Love Affiliate Marketing – Part 1

June 10th, 2009

By Guest Host Jimmy D. Brown of “Affiliatenaire

Do you find yourself “starting” to create your own product
to sell online, but never “finishing” it? One of the things I love about affiliate marketing is –

** You don’t need to create your own products **

Many people find the idea of creating their own products to be an overwhelming and even paralyzing task.

* I don’t have any good ideas!
* I’m not a writer!
* There’s too much competition!
* I don’t know how to set everything up!
* I can’t figure out where to start!
* It’s too hard!

These are just a few of the valid reasons many people give
when it comes to not creating their own products to sell. I’m sure with a few minutes of brainstorming, we could come
up with a list of many more. With affiliate marketing, you don’t need your own products. You simply promote someone else’s already proven successful offer for a commission.

And, truth be told, even if you ARE a writer and you DO have lots of ideas and you CAN figure it all out… ** Nobody wants to create new products all the time ** As good as you may be, you don’t know everything! Why try to create a product on every topic imaginable in your market when you can earn just as much money by simply promoting someone else’s really good offer as one of your profit streams? That’s why I love affiliate marketing. You don’t need to create your own products.

From “Deadliest Catch” To Online Success

June 5th, 2009

The other day I was going through my email like usual, skimming through and deleting the junk, when I came across an email from Erik Strafford (of the “12 Days Of Christmas” series) introducing me to Kevin Thompson. If you haven’t heard of this guy and you are interested in building an Internet business then please  read on. He did this tele-seminar the other day that was just awesome.

I’ll start by telling you a little bit of his background. If you’ve ever seen the hit television show “Deadliest Catch”, that was the life that Kevin was living. He said that being an Alaskan fisherman was exactly like the way it’s presented in the show. Then one night he and the crew of his boat found themselves in the worst storm they’ve ever encountered and he almost lost his life. That’s when a huge wave splashed over the deck and picked him up like a toothpick and slammed him head first into the rail on the other side of his boat. He said if it had picked him up a few inches higher he would have flown right into the Bering Sea and there was no way that boat would be able to turn around to rescue him from those frigid waters. Once he recovered from the initial panic over almost losing his life and while still being bobbed around in that horrible storm he just new that he was through with risking his life for a paycheck.

He finished his obligations as a fisherman and eventually decided he was going to start his own cleaning restoration business. At first he was a one man show doing it all and consuming like 14 to 16  hours a day 6 and 7 days a week! And at the end of his first year he still wasn’t making any money. He was taking and using advice from all kinds of well meaning people but none of it would work. Then ended up meeting a guy who already knew how to make businesses profitable as he had successfully done it himself, so he got the blueprint for success that he could follow.

Needless to say after following this step by step plan for success, he got his business extremely profitable. It ended  becoming the biggest cleaning and restoration business in the Seattle area. They were making plenty of money but when he took another look at it, his business was still running his life! It just wasn’t what he wanted. He wanted a business that would fit into his life style NOT control his life style. That’s when it dawned on him… wouldn’t it be great if he could somehow automate all the things he learned that made his business so profitable into a system that would do almost all the work for him! That’s when he started to look at the Internet and ended up starting his first very own website GetMoldSolutions.com.

Well the seminar was not about mold. What it was about was how anyone can take a subject or niche and create a very profitable automated website that essentually gives people what they want and what they’re going to buy anyway. So he solves peoples problems by finding out what it is that they want and giving them the solutions and making huge profits along the way. It’s the way he’s doing it that is so intriguing to me. You see… he’s not selling people on anything with some flashy SELL SELL SELL site. He’s providing the solution to their problems, in this case mold. Just ask yourself this, if your health was causing you problems and you discovered the source of those problems was because you have mold in your house, wouldn’t you look to an expert to rid yourself of that problem?

And the kicker, that simplistic little GetMoldSolutions website consistently earns Kevin between $7,000 and $10,000 a month since 2,000 when he got it going, and last month, a whopping $17,000!!!

Get the full interview he did with Erik Strafford and learn 2 HUGE secrets that will make you tons of money as an online marketer.

Are You A Buyer Or A Seller?

June 1st, 2009

Are you a buyer or a seller? It’s true that you need information that teaches you how to do things in the online marketing business but enough is enough already when it comes to buying one seminar series after another make money online eBook after yet another you come across. I’ve been there done that myself… over and over again. Even though I continue to click on my email messages from several of my favorite marketers… if for no other reason than to see the next sales page.

I look at these pages from a different perspective now. I see them as something to possibly emulate or incorporate into my own business plan in one way or another. By looking at the sales pitches with an analytic mind frame I dissect  them for the parts that create desire.  This is a key point. Every great sales page does one thing spectacular! They all create desire with their sales copy! And this is noteworthy. So I write them down in my notepad and file them away in a folder I’ve named “GreatSalesCopy” that I keep on my desktop. And in each notepad file I always include the link to that particular sales page for future reference. I also give it a 1 to 5 rating with 5 being the most important. I then make time to refer back to this folder on a regular basis as I make updates.

Anyway, getting back to my point. Are you a buyer or a seller? Well I know you’re probably a buyer of online marketing products as I think you want to continue growing your knowledge about affiliate marketing or whatever your online marketing niche is, but the thing is… if you’re not selling then guess what? At the end of the month after absorbing whatever system you’re working on and even implementing your lessons if you haven’t sold anything then you’re of course not making any money.

This cycle has got to stop! It has for me and now it’s your turn as well. What I’m doing is focusing on my main marketing plan and tweaking things here and there from what I’ve learned from other people that fit in to my custom made business. You see, there is so much information out there regarding online marketing that there really isn’t a one size fits all solution for anybody. That’s because everyone’s different and in a different situation. But by focusing your efforts on one system and also incorporating things into it from what you’ve learned from someone else to make it uniquely yours,  you’ll finally begin to make headway and ultimately sales. And that is what it’s all about. MAKING SALES! Because without sales you’re not making money. It’s that simple.
